Palliative Care
at
Kay’s Kamp
for kids with cancer
Being the parent and
family of a child in “end of
life care” is a
heartbreaking experience.
It’s so important to make
that precious time
together special and as
full as possible.
Kay’s Kamp offers a
summer camp experience
for children suffering
from cancer who are now
in the end stages of life.
What you need to know:
Each family decides how much time
is spent at kamp, whether one hour
or an entire day. Overnight kamping
is available for those kids who have
the desire and are able.
Each child will be assigned to a one-
on-one nurse (RN) to accompany
them at all times. Although parents
will not be allowed to stay at kamp
with their child, they will have cell
phone access to that nurse at all
times.
Special arrangements can be made
for parents at local lodging to remain
close to Kamp while their child is
enjoying fun and companionship
with other kids dealing with cancer.
